Who is Dumbfounded Divorcée???
I am a thirty-something, recently-divorced (and cheated on) female, who has impressively unlucky (yet somewhat entertaining) dating adventures—and, depressingly, I still manage to stay a hopeless romantic. I started this blog just before my thirtieth birthday, about nine months after my husband and I had a very scarring end to our marriage. It was August of 2010 when I finally started dating, and my experience...well, let's just say it was unique. My friends started pressuring me to create a blog about these divorced-dating experiences, and I decided to follow their advice: Divorced, Dating, and Dumbfounded was born.
Thus, this blog is my quest through the world of post-divorce dating, attempting to re-prove to myself that all men are not awful and true love might still be possible. I am hoping that, in addition to providing entertainment, this blog will also serve to determine 3 things for me:
- Is being single and dating not only fun but also preferable to married life? (my money is on 'yes')
- Is there actually someone out there who could truly love me faithfully and forever? (my money is on 'no')
- Is true love and faithful commitment still in the cards for me? Is it possible post-heartbreak? (jury's still out on this one)
